Cross-country skiing | A sport for everyone, which activates all the muscles and will give you extraordinary emotions. In Val Gardena you will find 133 km of cross-country trails for all levels of difficulty, all with breathtaking panoramic views! Our favourites? The 30 km of trails on Monte Pana, right above Santa Cristina, the more than 60 km of cross-country trails on the Alpe di Siusi and the 12 km 'Nordic Active Park' trail in Vallunga.
Tobogganing and ice skating | If you are looking for a fun experience for the whole family, we recommend you try the approximately 5 km-long Rasciesa toboggan run, which starts at the top station of the Rasciesa funicular in Ortisei, or the 3 km-long Zallinger toboggan run on the Alpe di Siusi. Would you like to twirl on the ice? Then take a pirouette to the Pranives ice stadium, the Setil ice rink or the nearby Iman sports centre in Santa Cristina. The choice is yours!

If you love skiing, you will also love the strategic location of our family hotel in Santa Cristina, which is perfectly connected to the Dolomiti Superski ski area. In fact, just 50 metres away you will find the first ski lift that will take you up to Monte Pana, a real paradise for children, and from here you will go straight to the Alpe di Siusi. All with a single ski pass, which you can conveniently purchase at the Family Hotel Posta! Glide down perfectly groomed and snow-covered pistes, enjoy the dreamy Alpine panorama and take advantage of the numerous ski lifts. From Col de Raiser you will reach the Gardena Ronda, while the Ciampinoi connects you to the Sellaronda. Fun is guaranteed!
Skiing week in South Tyrol: little skiers grow up
When they grow up, your children can proudly say: 'I learned to ski in Val Gardena'. It is right here, in our hotel near the Saslong, that we see new skiers born every year! All thanks to the Santa Cristina Ski School's all-day group ski course where the little ones learn to take their first steps on the slopes with Dumbo bibs. And for travel? We have thought of that too: our free shuttle bus will take them to the ski school every day. Another advantage: if you purchase a ski pass for an adult, you will receive a free ski pass for children under 8 years of age.
