An underground corridor leads you from the main building to a state-of-the-art spa, where you can pamper yourself to the original Alpine wellness experience.

A corner of paradise with a lot to offer

The facilities: first of all, we offer our guests total rejuvenation. Starting with the striking surrounding landscape, the centre is wonderfully designed to blend in with the beautiful and lush Family Hotel Posta garden. This architectural feat combines a wellness centre with a range of saunas, including both Finnish or traditional hay sauna, with an amazing view.

A true treasure in this wellness paradise is undeniably the large relaxation area, where you can clear your mind and forget any worries. The relaxation area is beautifully furnished, mostly by using natural materials which embrace every aspect of rejuvenation. But best of all is the garden view, which soothes the mind and inspires peace and tranquillity. Not to mention the fireplace, which creates a truly romantic atmosphere in winter. Pure relaxation, in all its forms!

You will be pleasantly surprised by the many different beauty treatments on offer at the Family Hotel Posta in the heart of Val Gardena. These treatments will strengthen your mind and body, and help to provide a lasting sense of well-being. Health and beauty treatments can be booked in advance, making it easier to secure each day and use your time as you prefer.

Enjoy the outdoors year-round!

We have in store an exciting entertainment programme for our little guests, and a wide range of outdoor activities for the older ones. In winter, take advantage of a well-rounded ski- and outdoor programme. Every day, Silvio accompanies proficient skiers on ski-guiding tours and ski safaris, while Christoph guides all interested guests on winter treks and snowhoeing hikes through the wintry lanscapes.
Since we want your outdoor experiences to be as pleasurable and fuss-free as possibile, we offer your a shuttle service and also the possibility to purchase your lift passes directly at our reception. Families can expect a few special treats of course, such as the daily shuttle service to the ski school for children participating in the ski course, and free lift passes for children born after 27.11.2009 provided their parents buy one adult pass.
When they are not exploring the stunning green of Val Gardena together with mum and dads, children and teens can have the time of their life at the playground, in the Timothy playhouse, in the heated pool or in one of the dedicated meeting points – the Dumbo Club, the Junior Club, and the Gnome’s Club, where they can play with a spoiling choice of toys and many new friends.

Culture and tradition

Val Gardena – the birthplace of Luis Trenker, museums and much more. Val Gardena is a valley in the Dolomites in South Tyrol. It is located in an area where people still speak the ancient tongue of Ladin - only 30,000 people have mastered this language. We suggest visiting the Ladin Val Gardena Ortisei museum where you can admire, among other things, a collection of carved wooden objects and toys. The art of woodcarving is part of a long and ancient Ladin tradition, passed down over centuries from generation to generation. It is one of the foundations of traditional handicraft carvings. You can also see fossils and minerals from the surrounding mountains. The famous mountain climber, actor, writer and director Luis Trenker (1892 - 1990) helped to sustain the museum. Other places of interest include the San Giacomo church with its Late Gothic frescoes and the ruins of the Selva castle.

Excursions

  • Bolzano (Bozen): the capital of South Tyrol with a medieval style city centre, famous for its porticos and markets and a favourite of visitors. Visiting the Archaeological Museum will make you feel like part of history and help you to discover other marvels of this city. You can also see Ötzi (the Glacier Mummy) in this museum.
  • Bressanone (Brixen): an idyllic bishopric town founded in 901 AD at the point where the Isarco and Rienza rivers meet. With its narrow streets, venerable churches and ancient cathedral, this city is worth visiting.
  • Merano (Meran): a Central European spa town with a Mediterranean atmosphere, surrounded by green pastures and trees. Merano is fully protected by the majestic mountains featuring a mild climate and rich vegetation that flourishes throughout the year.
